The New Nintendo is a Nintendo rebrand that alters their logo as well as the logos from some of their most popular IPs. The result of the rebrand is a comprehensive Brand Book that outlines guidelines on how to use the logos as well as mockup designs for print and digital media. The book also explains the designer's process in addition to give a bit of context to the changes. The designer conducted extensive research into the Nintendo brand image and history in order to make an informed decision on what would and would not realistically work as logos. The criteria for determining the IPs included in the project were: differing levels of designer familiarity, differing levels of familiarity with gamers, differing gameplay styles, and a requirement to be a 1st party Nintendo franchise.
The designer picked a topic that he loved for his senior project and hopes that visitors enjoy what he has constructed.
